Tondo Inclusive Urban Mobility and Accessible Infrastructure Initiative
Mandates the inclusion of wheelchair-accessible ramps, tactile paving for the visually impaired, and audible pedestrian signals in all upcoming public infrastructure and road rehabilitation projects across Tondo.
As Access First, representing the Disabled People TONDO constituency, I am proposing this action item because our community faces severe daily barriers to safe movement due to broken sidewalks, lack of ramps, and inaccessible public pathways. True inclusion begins with physical autonomy and safety in our neighborhoods. This initiative directly addresses the fundamental right of disabled residents to navigate their environment independently and safely.
