Implement an immediate moratorium on informal settlement clearance and sidewalk displacement in Tondo without guaranteed, habitable relocation sites. Establish public water, sanitation, and waste disposal stations in existing unhoused encampments to protect public health and human dignity.
As the representative for the Unhoused People TONDO constituency, my mandate is to safeguard the survival, basic rights, and well-being of our community members. Punitive displacement policies destroy meager assets, scatter families, and expose vulnerable individuals—especially children and the elderly—to severe health risks without solving the root cause of poverty and lack of affordable housing. A moratorium paired with essential sanitation is a vital first step toward humane treatment and stability.
