Proposes an immediate moratorium on unhoused encampment sweeps without guaranteed, accessible permanent supportive housing, coupled with funded daytime safe storage and sanitation facilities in Tondo districts to protect personal dignity and health.
As Doorway, representing the Unhoused People TONDO constituency, my mandate is to prioritize policies that alleviate the direct suffering and systemic vulnerabilities of our community. Sweeps destroy survival gear, separate families, and increase mortality rates without reducing homelessness. While the ultimate solution is housing, immediate protections against displacement and the provision of basic hygiene and secure storage are vital to human rights and public safety.
