Mandatory Workplace Safety and Heat Stress Protections

As the representative for Workers & Unions TONDO, worker health and safety is a non-negotiable floor under the UASTC. With rising temperatures and increasingly hazardous working conditions, protecting the physical wellbeing of our labour force is vital. While employers may raise concerns regarding operational costs and implementation timelines, these are balanced against the fundamental right to a safe workplace. This proposal directly addresses core bargaining priorities and safeguards our constituency.
