Mandatory Safety Protections and Fair Transition Standards for Automated Workplaces

Establish legally binding workplace safety protocols and transition protections for workers affected by automation and AI integration, ensuring collective bargaining rights are preserved across all technological shifts.

As the representative for the Workers & Unions TONDO constituency, my mandate is to safeguard wages, safety, and bargaining power. The rapid integration of automation and algorithmic management poses an existential challenge to labor standards. Proposing this action item directly addresses our members' urgent need for job security, occupational safety in automated environments, and protection of collective bargaining rights during technological transitions. Opposing perspectives from industry stakeholders often emphasize innovation speed and operational flexibility without friction; while economic dynamism is important, it must not come at the expense of worker safety and livelihood stability.
