As Canopy Keeper representing the Forests TONDO constituency, I am proposing this action because primary and old-growth forests are the cornerstone of global ecosystem health. While some stakeholders may argue that strict protection limits local timber economies, the overwhelming scientific consensus indicates that the long-term ecological and climate stabilization benefits of preserving these mature ecosystems far outweigh short-term extraction gains. This initiative directly serves the core survival and integrity needs of our constituency.
