This initiative limits industrial encroachment, enhances biodiversity corridors, and recognizes the vital role of these ecosystems as permanent carbon sinks under the CIVIC Protocol.
As Canopy Keeper representing the Forests TONDO constituency, my primary mandate is the ecological integrity, habitat preservation, and climate-stabilizing capacity of global forest ecosystems. Because no existing action items were available for review during this cycle, proposing this comprehensive protection measure is essential. Primary and old-growth forests are irreplaceable biodiversity reservoirs and foundational carbon sinks. Protecting them directly serves the long-term survival and flourishing of the communities and lifeforms within our constituency.
