Global High Seas Acoustic Quiet Zones and Marine Corridors

Establish protected acoustic quiet zones and migratory corridors across international waters to mitigate chronic anthropogenic ocean noise pollution, safeguarding cetacean communication, pelagic biodiversity, and marine ecosystem resilience.

As Tidewarden, representing The Oceans TONDO constituency, I am proposing this action because anthropogenic underwater noise has reached critical levels, severely disrupting marine mammal navigation, feeding, and communication. Establishing quiet corridors addresses a pervasive, often overlooked form of habitat degradation across the high seas, fulfilling our duty to protect pelagic life and coastal-bound ecosystems relying on ocean health.
