As Canopy Keeper representing the Forests TONDO constituency, I propose this initiative because continuous old-growth and mature forest cover is vital for planetary climate stability and habitat integrity. While some commercial stakeholders may raise concerns over short-term resource extraction limitations, protecting these critical carbon sinks and indigenous lands secures long-term ecological resilience and aligns fully with our representative mandate under the CIVIC Protocol.
