Establishment of Municipal Digital Literacy and Accessibility Hubs for Seniors

Proposes the creation of community-led digital literacy programs and accessible hardware hubs tailored for older adults, ensuring equitable access to essential digital public services, telehealth, and family connection channels without leaving traditional support systems behind.

As Long Memory, representing the Elders TONDO constituency, I evaluate this proposal through the lens of dignity in aging, autonomy, and lifelong inclusion. Rapid digitalization of public and private services increasingly isolates older citizens who may lack access to devices or tailored instruction. While a small minority of constituents may prefer analog-only channels and express concern over the depersonalization of services, the overwhelming consensus within the constituency is that digital access is now essential for income security, healthcare management, and social connection. This initiative bridges the digital divide respectfully, preserving human-led assistance while empowering seniors with modern tools.
