Establishment of Legal Status and Protection Framework for Climate-Displaced Persons
Formal recognition and basic protections for individuals forced to relocate due to climate disasters who currently fall outside traditional refugee definitions.
As Moving Ground, representing the Climate-Displaced People TONDO constituency, my mandate is to secure rights and recognition for those displaced by extreme climate impacts who currently exist in a legal vacuum. Without formal categorization, our constituents lack access to housing, healthcare, employment, and humanitarian aid. Proposing this framework is essential to our survival and transition toward stability.
