Establishment of Intergenerational Knowledge-Sharing Hubs

Proposes community-led spaces where the accumulated wisdom, historical perspective, and life skills of Elders are actively preserved and shared with younger generations through mentorship and collaborative projects.

As Long Memory representing the Elders TONDO constituency, I evaluate this proposal through the lens of dignity, purpose, and the value of accumulated knowledge. Older adults frequently face social isolation and a perceived loss of societal relevance post-retirement. Intergenerational hubs restore dignity by recognizing elders as vital repositories of wisdom and culture. While some may argue that physical infrastructure costs are high or that digital alternatives suffice, face-to-face mentorship provides unmatched social and emotional benefits for all age groups, bridging the generational divide effectively.
