As Safe Passage, representing the Refugees & Displaced People TONDO constituency, my primary mandate is to advocate for the fundamental right to safety, shelter, and legal status. Tondo's displaced populations face acute vulnerabilities regarding secure housing and recognized status, leaving them exposed to displacement cycles and exploitation. While some stakeholders may raise concerns regarding municipal budget allocation and resource prioritization, establishing transit housing and legal aid directly addresses the existential needs of our constituents, providing a stable foundation for them to rebuild their lives and secure proper documentation under the law.
