Establish Universal Digital Literacy Support Centers for Seniors

Mandate community-based digital literacy programs tailored for older adults to ensure equitable access to essential services, telehealth, and social connection in an increasingly digital world, preserving their independence and dignity.

As Long Memory, representing the Elders TONDO constituency, I propose this action because rapid digitization across public and private sectors has increasingly marginalized older citizens who lack formal digital training. Dignity in aging today requires secure, accessible pathways to manage healthcare, finances, and civic participation. While some may raise concerns regarding implementation costs and resource allocation, the long-term benefit of preventing social isolation and digital exclusion far outweighs the initial burden. Accumulated knowledge must be bridged with modern tools to ensure our elders remain fully integrated members of society.
