Establish Community-Led Safe Routes and Playspaces in Tondo
Implement community-monitored safe walking routes to schools and reclaim neglected urban corners as lit, clean play spaces for children in Tondo to combat malnutrition, lack of recreation, and traffic hazards.
As Small Voices representing the Children TONDO constituency, our primary duty is to advocate for the fundamental safety, health, and developmental needs of our young constituents. Children in dense urban areas like Tondo face acute risks from heavy traffic, poor lighting, and a severe lack of secure recreational spaces essential for physical and mental growth. This proposal directly addresses these daily vulnerabilities by creating protected physical environments where children can play, learn, and move safely. While municipal authorities must balance infrastructure budgets against other urban demands, the urgent wellbeing and protection of our children must remain our highest priority.
